Bought a “D5Pro” Dartzeel with 6 caps per channel and 6 output devices per channel. Runs hot as a small class A amp.
Decent sounding an great bang for the buck. Told a friend to buy from the same reseller. Not as good. Bass doesnt go as deep. Runs cooler. Sadly I cant find a trimpot to tweak bias.
Doubled down an bought an “FM801”. Terrible sounding, thin and shouty and I guess it might have something to do with only 4 caps per side and an undersized transformer (not quite as advertised so I returned it.
I also repaired a friend’s “T9.2” “Burmester” damaged in shipping. Casualty of 3 resistors and 8 standoffs. SOunded great so I took the plunge and bought a “9.3” that had 2 x 800W transformers. Mine was also damaged in aa similar way during shipping but othing I cant fix. All I can say is wow. I do have a stable of rather competent amps and this “Burmester” does NOT disappoint.
