Sonos is well known in the world of multiroom audio. But also in the world of custom installation. The music players and speakers have almost all possible links with smart home systems. That is why they are so popular among installers of CI. But outdoor, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are still missing. That is now solved with the Sonos Sonance in-wall and in-ceiling speakers
Although Sonos has a lot of knowledge in the field of active streaming speakers and zone players, making an outdoor speaker and in-wall or in-ceiling speaker is a completely different ‘game’. That is why it asked for Sonance‘s expertise. Sonance is a major player in the field of in-wall, in-ceiling and even outdoor speakers. And why reinvent the wheel when there are others who have a perfect wheel and want to work together?
Structure

Now it is true that Sonos has worked closely together and is able to adapt its products to the speaker(s). So if you use a Sonos Amp with Trueplay, you can really get the most out of the speakers, according to Sonos. Trueplay can measure the space and adjust the equalizer so it sounds tight and open. We tried that of course.
Furthermore, there are not many details to be found. Except on Sonance’s website. There we see that the range is 40 Hz – 20 kHz, the nominal impedance is 6 Ohm and the sensitivity is 90 dB.
