Zelf twijfel ik enorm tussen de Hegel H95 en Primare i15.
Ik heb Monitor Audio RX8 speakers staan.
Als ik de revies lees dan neig ik toch iets meer naar de Primare i.v.m. de streaming opties.
Maar is dat qua klank/versterking ook de betere keuze?
Ze zijn allebei goed. Maar Primare heeft de betere streamer.

I am interested in Hegel and Primare amps. Both brands do amps with analogue and digital Dacs. Including your review of Hegel H95. you also reviewed/ auditioned the Primare Prisma I15 among other amplifiers under 2500Euros. How would you describe Hegel sound presentation in comparison to Prisma sound presentation?
Out of the beginning lower models of Hegel and Prisma which amp would drive ATC SCM 11 & 19 properly..? (I can’t afford Hegel H190 so I suppose I mean Hegel H95 or H120 or Primare Prisma I15)

I would go for the Primare i15 Prisma. It’s more neutral, better streaming capabilities and can drive the ATC’s without an issue.
Het belangrijkste werd weer ontweken: gapless playback of niet met hificast en/of bubble?
Roon via Airplay is geen serieus alternatief.
Hoelang gaat men de klanten nog aan het lijntje houden? Mensen die een apparaat van 5000€ (h390) of 10 000€ (h590) en niet eens degelijk kunnen streamen. Of men reageert niet of krijgt een bot antwoord. Ondertussen vliegen de maanden voorbij en tegen dat Roon werkt is de apparatuur al veroudert.
En de reviewers doen steeds alsof er niets aan de hand is.
Speel open kaart en zeg eens welke modellen gapless playback ondersteunen. Bij de H360 lukt dit, maar vooruitspoelen of track skippen lukt niet. Cursor volgt ook niet altijd bij afspelen.
Modellen zoals h190, h390 en h590 ondersteunen het zeker al niet. Terwijl een ‘goedkope bluesound’
dit wel probleemloos doet.
De UPNP implementatie van Hegel ondersteunt de functie SetNextAVTransportURI. Hiermee is gapless playback mogelijk. Ik heb zelf een Hegel H90 en gapless playback werkt probleemloos met HifiCast. Ik ga ervan uit dat de Hegel H95 minimaal dezelfde UPNP implementatie heeft als de H90 en dat gapless playback daarom ook op de H95 werkt.

Dank voor je aanvulling. Dit is ook mijn ervaring: gapless is mede afhankelijk van de streaming server.
Dank voor de recensie. Ik heb zelf de oudere H160 en denk aan vervanging. De keuze bij Hegel is flink toegenomen. Als ik kijk naar H95, H120 en H190, zijn de H95 en H120 goede alternatieven of is alleen de H190 een waardig opvolger?
In hoeverre presteert of klinkt deze nu beter dan de H90? Ik neem aan dat de H90 er langzaam uit gaat, en dan is hier misschien wel een goede deal te krijgen. Wie weet scheelt dat dan zomaar 500 euro, is dat de H90 waard?
Vooral het Dac-board is significant beter. Dat is wel de moeite naar mijn mening. Verder kleine tweaks in de versterker zelf. Al met al wel een sprong.
Mag ik de conclusie trekken dat de Hegel H120 een betere optie is, daarvan staat in de review het blauwe balkje van “Weergave” op maximaal. Zit er verschillende DAC’s in of zouden er andere factoren meespelen, voorbeelden hiervan zijn mooi uitgelegd in de Live Stream – Interview Grimm Audio van vandaag.
De H120 is inderdaad wat beter. En de meerprijs is overheen te komen… Vinden wij in ieder geval. Ik weet niet welke dac er in de H120 zit eerlijk gezegd. Denk ook een AKM. Maar de chip zegt lang niet alles.
