Wat een lastig verhaal. Want we vinden Bryston zo’n mooi merk. Echter hebben we gemengde gevoelens bij de B135 SST3. Mede door de bikkelharde concurrentie in dit segment – denk aan Hegel, NAIM, Accuphase, et cetera – is het zaak alles op orde te hebben. Een versterker van 6000 euro moet ófwel heel veel kunnen, ofwel héél goed klinken. En tsja: de Bryston speelt prima en heeft niet heel veel extra’s aan boord. Sorry Canada…
Conclusie
De Bryston B135 SST3 heeft ons op sommige vlakken overtuigd. Denk aan overall controle, bouwkwaliteit en overall 'oemf'. Het is echt een zeer gecontroleerde versterker die alle speakers wel in bedwang kan houden.
Echter zijn we van mening dat de voortrap in de B135 charme mist. Als we testen met andere voorversterkers horen we dat er veelal wel meer muziek door de speakers komt. We hopen dat Bryston dat stukje van de B135 nog iets mooier kan krijgen. Want dan is het zijn 6000 euro wel waard.
