Then the energy supply. Thijs Yeti of Yeti Acoustics pulled a cable from the electrical room to the listening area. In the distribution box he planned a Gigawatt switch, there is a Gigawatt 4mm2 cable running to the listening corner in the living room. There it connects the distribution box to a beautiful, full copper wall connection.
Yeti ended up installing the cabinet as well (it was too big, but we finally found a solution :-)) and hooked things up nicely. The 3-phase connection came a week later, but fortunately the entire cabinet was already prepared for it.
The nice thing is that the audio group is on a different phase (phase 3) than the induction cooktop (phase 1) and the rest of the house (phase 2). That makes heavy load on the other 2 groups not affect the audio system. Now we do have 12 450 Wh-panels on the roof and two 5 KWH batteries in the attic, but it is now laid out as best we can.
All in all, the separate group has made a VERY good audible improvement. When we feed the system from a regular connection, it is immediately audible in space, refinement, flow emotion. In short: if you have the chance; do it!
If we find some time to measure, we will. Also to see what impact the panels and batteries have.

Je zonnepanelen, op welke fase heb je die zitten met 3-fasestroom?
Verder las ik dat je een GigaWatt-audiokabel hebt lopen van je meterkast naar de muur. Ik heb zelf een standaard XMVK-kabel lopen van de meterkast naar de muur. Levert jouw GW-kabel zoveel meer op?
En tot slot: dat mooie stopcontact, is die ook van GW?

Congratulations on your updated listening room.
I was fortunate enough to have owner built a new house, so was in charge of all details of the construction of the dedicated listening and HT rooms. I’d also recommend beyond your suggestions, that if someone has the opportunity to do so, they choose the room dimensions in accordance with Fibonacci numbers and make the ceiling a sloping one, as that contributes to the reduction of standing waves. Placing the speakers strategically in a Fibonacci sequence determined positions is highly beneficial, too. Could you please let us know which wall socket you used? I can’t find any brand with pure copper Schuko wall sockets.
Fet mooi man. Ik ga ook zo verkassen en de meter kast aan pakken. Ik wilde een vraag stellen als het mag. Bij mij gaat alles in fases.
Mijn vraag is:
De kabel van de meterkast naar de audiogroep, is dat naar 1 stop contact? Want ik wil de hele woonkamer laten aarde. Die is qua indeling het zelfde als jaap. Maar das flink wat kabel. Is het 1 stopcontact met 1 kabel? De meter kost gewoon E.
Omdat ik niet weet waar de audio komt. De basis is denk ik. Een doepke. Als die nog leveren of ander merk? Tips? Ik heb zelf al een goede hifituning zekering die ik steeds meeneem naar huurwoningen en in en uit bouw.Soms met hulp. Ik heb verschillende zekeringen. En dat maakt een bizar verschil. Om het er maar bij te vertellen.

You can use any breaker. I like the Gigawatt a lot.
