We put the speakers on 60 cm high stands decoupled by a set of IsoAcoustics Aperta. We played around a bit with turn-in and end up with an almost straight lineup in our space but YMMV. We place them a little closer together than usual, 1m80 apart, and also slide them closer (50 cm) to the back or front wall if you will All in all we were busy for half an hour and that time is ‘time well spent’. A proper placement is essential for any speaker, even budget speakers. This is how you get the most out of each speaker. Not that the AE300 is ultracritical in terms of placement, but every speaker projects differently. Be sure to give them a solid base or decouple them with Aperta’s. The low becomes tighter, more defined too and the midrange becomes cleaner We listened mainly through the built-in Sabre dac of the Cyrus Audio XR-I7 and that went very well
