Since the Cambridge Audio EVO 150 does not have speakon connectors, we use Ricable Magnus speaker cables to go from the EVO 150 to our speakers. A handmade Ethernet cable connects the Cambridge to the network. The power cord is also from the Ricable Magnus series. And you don’t really need more cables. That’s it. How simple life can be. By the way, the wifi connection is very stable and there are no visible antennas so as not to disturb the sleek appearance. A plus in our book.
The Cambridge Audio EVO 150 almost replaced our entire reference system. To test the EVO 150, we used:
- Revel Performa M126BE
- Vienna Acoustics Haydn Jubilee
- Elac Carina BS243.4
- Bowers and Wilkins 606s2
- Q Acoustics 3030i
We use CDs, stream via Qobuz and Tidal and play hi-res files via usb.

hello Ruben,
I think that Bowers will go well with the Cambridge. As mentioned in the review Elac also works well. I found that the amp is quite picky with speakers.
Best regards
Geoff
Thanks for your reply!
Hi, I am the happy owner of an evo 150.
Looking for a new set of floor standers to replace my old MS MEZZO 6.
Just trying to narrow down my choices, do you guys feel the B&W 603 s3 could be a good match? Or maybe another suggestion? Budget is around 1800.
Regards ruben
