We place the Neat Ministra at Norstone stands disconnected by a set of Isoacoustics Aperta. We hardly give them any toe-in, we can still see the veneer from the listening position, and put them a bit closer to the wall than usual. It’s striking how far apart they can be without the stereo image collapsing. As said before, it is not necessary to give these speakers any toe-in because of the enthusiastic tweeter, it is even better to position them almost straight.

The Neat Ministra replaces our Atc Scm19 V2 and Vienna Acoustics Haydn Jubilee in the reference system, mentioned below:

  • Ps Audio Stellar Gain Cell Dac preamplifier
  • Benchmark AHB2 power amplifier
  • Metrum Acoustics Onyx d/a converter
  • Nad M50 streamer/cd transport
  • Norstone Stylum 2
  • Isoacoustics Aperta
  • Wiring: Grimm TPR, Audioquest Yukon, Supra Sword, Qed XT40
  • ROON/BluOS
