ProAc Tablette 10 Signature

We have a set of budget friendly Cabasse Surf monitors which are even smaller (29×17.5x22cm) than the ProAc Tablette 10 Signature. The Surf sounds much less detailed than the Tablette and the middle area is not so open. The lowest regions of the Surf are a bit coloured by the bass port which gives some extra oomph to pop music. Sometimes it’s nice, sometimes it sounds a bit artificial and accentuated. That’s not the case with the Tablette. The present low end is of excellent quality and does not disturb the finesse in the reproduction.

Our loyal Audio Vectors are slightly larger and above all wider and deeper. This provides more definition and depth in the low frequency. The AMT tweeter on the Audio Vector is very good but not as good as the excellent softdome on the ProAc. In addition to the higher level of detailing, as already mentioned, we gain more insight into the recording at the ProAC. The Audio Vectors are more all-rounders than the ProAcs.

Comparing a mini-monitor with the much larger Atc Scm19 V2 is a bit unfair of course, but if we are talking about the sound, there are reference points. Both speakers have a light-hearted reproduction and let you hear everything. Minor recordings will be played as such in both cases. The better the speaker, the more critical it becomes for less recordings and less equipment. That’s the other side of the coin.

Conclusion

The ProAc Tablette 10 Signature is a speaker that you keep to yourself. A loudspeaker that detects the emotion in the music very well and provides fine listening moments. This monitor may be small in stature, but it is big and generous in its reproduction. It offers a lot of insight into the recording and lets all the details through. Add to that an almost magical middle area and you have an excellent monitor speaker. Well done ProAc!
