Q Acoustics has received an impressive amount of prizes in its relatively young existence (since 2006). We too are always pleasantly surprised by the quality of Q Acoustics speakers, especially in relation to the asking price. In 2015 we tested the bookshelf speaker 3020, which performed impressively and for 280 euros per pair impressively low price.
It is therefore the combination of high performance and a surprisingly low price that ensures that Q Acoustics makes products with a high ‘grant’-factor from consumers and from the press. With the Concept 300, the brand adds: a speaker in the high end segment, truly innovative solutions and especially the tripod.
Conclusion
The Concept 300 is definitely an innovation. The tripods add real value, not only in terms of design but also sound. Q Acoustics applied the winning elements of the Concept 500 in a monitor and added a tripod that makes the whole a lot less massive.Through the use of simple and price-friendly materials, Q Acoustics has once again succeeded in marketing a speaker in this segment that competes very well in the premier league of Audioland. At the introduction of the Concept 300, the collected international audiopers had to guess at the asking price. We came to ± 5,000 euros and that turned out to be 1,250 euros higher than the actual price.
We had already included the Q Acoustics factor in our estimation, that is: "what would such a speaker cost if it was not Q Acoustics. And then 50% of that". In other words, this Concept 300 sounds like monitors-plus stands of 10,000 euros. Alpha Approved!
