Measurements Yeti Reference

Compare with standard Yeti

Both cables are two meters long. The Reference appears slightly shorter, but that is because it is braided.

What becomes immediately clear in the measurements is that the resistance and capacitance is a lot lower with the Reference cable. The resistance is 3 to 4 times lower. That’s significant. Inductance is practically the same. So is impedance. All in all, the measurements fall in favor of the Reference. Thank goodness for that.

Conclusion

If you call a cable "Reference", it must also be a Reference. Well... from us it is pretty clear that it can be called the Reference. The Yeti Reference plays very pleasantly. Well balanced, airy, big... and no obvious colouration. Which also shouldn't be the case in this class. The differences from the standard Yeti are clear. Measurable and audible. In short: a cable that can rightly be called Reference. The price... it's worth it... a bit of a gulp. Well... you have to be prepared! Alpha Approved!
