Sound Quality – Streaming vs CD/Vinyl
In your opinion, can music streaming services like Tidal or Qobuz match the sound quality of CDs or vinyl records? If not, what do you think is the biggest drawback?

@reynaldajrush It all depends on what equipment you use. In the more attainable price categories, CD and vinyl gives you, in terms of sound quality, more results when you invest a little more. The steps up are bigger than with streaming
The more money you invest, the closer CD, vinyl and streaming get in terms of sound quality. The whole HiFi chain, the matching of components gets more determining of the resulting sound than the medium that holds the music information.
That is a really hard question to answer. Because the sound is so different. Is streaming audio more precise than cd or vinyl? Yes. Does that mean it sounds 'nicer'? No. Because hifi / audio / music is more that reproducing bits. It's also about timing. Fluidity. Transferring the emotion of the music.
