Alpha Audio has had an unprecedented number of products in its hands this year. Partly due to mass testing, we have certainly been heading towards 120 products again. Processing this with a compact but loyal review team is impressive. This year Martijn ten Napel has become a permanent part of the review team. This “man in the green shirt,” as he was called in the Live Streams, is for us the “man with the golden ears”. Not that the rest of the team doesn’t have good ears, but in blind tests Martijn is hard to beat…. We list the Top 5 of all authors for you in this year-end series.
Making a Top 5 is very difficult. Nevertheless, we tried for you. You will read that every author compiles this Top 5 differently. Some go purely for products, others go for a particular test and trend, and others even incorporate music. That makes this top five from Alpha Authors varied and it shows what the authors pay attention to and focus on.

Background series
As final info, we would like to inform you that we are working on a series around the audio industry. This is taking a lot of time and effort to organize, but author Bernard is very determined. This series is intended for readers who would like to know more about the dynamics in the industry. A dynamic that is on a – in our opinion – dangerous path.
