McIntosh has released precisely fitting bases – two in all to be exact – for its top-of-the-line amplifiers.
McIntosh’s new AS125 and AS901 (see screenshot above) bases have been specifically designed to form a perfect stand for the brand’s top-model monoblocks. The manufacturer indicates that they can also be used with other components of the brand, as well as other hi-fi components. The carrier bases are made of environmentally friendly extracted white ash. This material was chosen for its superior strength, durability and resistance to both scratches and dents. Furthermore, a solid piece of (laquered) wood has been used in the construction. The base should realize more depth and clarity. And there is a nice detail: the McIntosh logo on the front is illuminated, always nice of course.

The McIntosh AS125 is ideal for the brand’s monoblock amplifiers, while the AS901 is specifically designed for the MC901 Dual Mono amplifier. You can order both versions immediately. First deliveries are expected by the end of this month. The AS125 costs $3000; the AS901 $3500.
