Nubert presents its new preamplifier nuControlX as well as a power amplifier that nicely matches it in the form of the nuConnect ampXL.
The new Nubert nuControlX preamplifier has many features on board. Of course the classic functions that belong to such a device, as five line inputs (of which 2 are XLR symmetrical), MM and MC phono preamplifiers and on the digital side, among others, an AES/EBU input. As for outputs, you have the choice of line and symmetrical XLR. A sub-out and a digital S/PDIF output have also been arranged. In terms of functionality, things like a parametric 7-band equalizer is provided, as is a classic bass-treble tone control. Two freely adjustable DSP filter banks help to drive each speaker in the best possible way. Needless to say, the nuControlX has no problems with streaming either. Price: €4490.
Nubert nuConnect ampXL amplifier
You can use the nuControlX together with the also new Nubert nuConnect ampXL. This delivers up to 340 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It’s an integrated amplifier, which supports AirPlay, Chromecast and a range of streaming services such as Spotify and Deezer, among others. In other words: this device is excellent for stand-alone use too. Thanks, for example, to the built-in MM/MC phono preamplifier, five digital inputs including USB-B and a sub-out. A nice detail is that input analog signals are digitized and available for further processing or digital distribution to another device. If you happen to have a wireless speaker from the Nubert nuPro-XS series, those are easy to pair wirelessly; the amplifier features a built-in X-Connect surround transmitter. Price tag on this versatile amplifier: €1485.
nuVero in limited blue
One last piece of news from Nubert: the nuVero 60 and nuVero70 have been around for fifteen years. To mark this anniversary, the German manufacturer has released a limited edition in blue (to be exact, the 60 for €1650 and the 170 for €7900). In addition, a special promotion is running until August 31: if you buy a NuVero before that date, you’ll receive no less than a fifteen-year warranty on it!
