The new Crystal Cable Minissimo Forte shares the underlying philosophy with the Arabesque. That speaker appeared in already 2009 and featured an all-glass enclosure. Its unique shape was born out of a desire to avoid resonance and standing waves and eliminate parallel walls and common dimensions. More speakers based on the same ideas appeared and now the Minissimo Forte has seen the light of day.

In D&D Audio’s announcement we read, ‘Crystal Cable’s goal, with the Arabesque models in general and this Minissimo Forte in particular, was to further refine the performance of a standard speaker, while maintaining the beauty and compactness of each predecessor. An advanced new passive-active crossover has been added for the latest version of the proven success formula, in addition to special, fully balanced filter technology. The proprietary MAD (Multiple Absorption and Dispersion) system and the new stable and decoupled stand further reduce cavity resonances and improve sound quality. Together, the series of technical improvements ensure excellent sound performance, which, by the way, we at D&D can more than agree with’.
By the way, the case of this speaker is not made of glass, but milled from a single block of aluminum. The Crystal Cable Minissimo Forte is expected to be available from mid-August this year, in Champagne, Matt Black and Fire Glow red, with other colors available upon request. The price per pair: €24200.
