Synthesis FCO-300B integrated tube amplifier

The Synthesis FCO-300B will be launched by the Italian manufacturer at the International Audio Exhibition in Taipei (Dec. 14-17).

Tube lovers beware: the new Synthesis FCO-300B is about to be launched. The new single-ended integrated tube amplifier is set up in dual-mono. In the design, the output stages are handled by 300 B triodes operating in class A. In the preamp circuit you will find 12AU7 and 12AX7 triodes. As a driver, the designers have chosen the double triode 6CG7. And even in the power supply a tube is used, a 5U4g kenotron (rectifier) to be exact.

8…10 watts

The power supply transformer itself is a high power toroidal one. You will find more transformers at the output, C-core ones this time, equipped with separate connections for 4 and 8 ohm speakers. Furthermore, the Synthesis FCO-300B is armed with an automatic BIAS system. The frequency range of the amp runs from 10 Hz to 50 kHz. As for inputs, you have a choice of four balanced XLR line inputs and four unbalanced RCA line inputs. The maximum output power is 8 watts into both 4 and 8 ohms at a THD of 1% @1 kHz and up to 10 watts at a THD of 3% @ 1kHz.

The Synthesis FCO-300B costs €19,700. Nothing about the newcomer can be found on the manufacturer’s website yet, but we did find a picture on their Facebook page (see screenshot at the top).
