Wilson Audio has four new speaker models ready for you to grab. The brand’s design signature is evident in all of them.
The Dutch distributor of Wilson Audio – Reference Sounds – announces that this manufacturer has launched four new speakers. Below you can read the full text of the announcement they put down. Not our words, and perhaps a bit laced with enthusiasm. Just so you know as a critical reader! Enter:
Technical ideal
Wilson Audio’s continuous self-development is quite unique. Of course, product development has a great commercial purpose but at Wilson Audio it is particularly the perfecting of proprietary processes and use of materials that motivates progress. The technical ideal has been the same for years: a time-correct, coloration-free reproduction of the electrical signal with minimal energy storage. Sonically, this translates into phenomenal masterpieces of loudspeakers that transform every electrical nuance into music with extreme precision, drive and definition true to life.
That degree of perfection only succeeds when you fully master and optimize every step of the process. Facets in which Wilson Audio has invested enormously over the past few decades. Thanks in part to the very largest in the lineup, developments such as the Convergent Synergy Dome Tweeter and new cabinet materials flow into the rest of the Wilson Audio family. After the recent introduction of the Sasha V, it’s now the turn of four special models to benefit from that evolution. We are happy to introduce them to you!
Surround
As far as we are concerned, the Sasha V is the very best Wilson Audio example of High End Audio evolution. Although the stature of Wilson’s very first commercial speaker is still at the core of its design, the Sasha V is actually much more of a small WAMM than a large Watt/Puppy. It symbolizes a degree of perfection and refinement that Wilson Audio has let flow drop by drop through all of its models over the last 10 years. Almost all models then. Indeed, Wilson Audio’s specialty models for multichannel playback remained unchanged for a long time while the recording qualities and surround formats of concerts and music recordings have made extreme strides. This is precisely why Wilson Audio last month introduced two new speakers for use as center speakers, a set of on-wall speakers and an active subwoofer.
SAE Center
The first model in the lineup is a – by Wilson Audio standards – relatively compact Center speaker. SAE stands for Special Application Engineering, a school of thought within which Wilson Audio develops specialized models for specific applications. The Tune Tot, Wilson Audio’s smallest speaker is the best example. The WASAE Center follows that line with a pair of 15cm mid/low drivers flanking the lauded 5th generation Convergent Synergy Dome Tweeter. With a build height of just over 20cm, Center typical horizontal build of nearly 70cm wide and just under 34cm deep, the SAE Center is the perfect vocal partner for the Tune Tot or Sabrina X.
The sloping front reflects Wilson’s time optimization for maximum coherence. The combination of the unique S material front and X material cabinet are identical to Wilson Audio’s larger models. Together they guarantee that gigantic quietness and sound fidelity that acting as Center speaker is indispensable for lifelike reproduction of voice and vocals.
The SAE Center has a suggested retail price of € 12,990 including VAT in Wilson Audio Standard Gloss

Mezzo CSC
The Mezzo CSC builds on the Mezzo Center introduced around 2011 as an ideal match to the then Sasha. Around 2014, the Inverted Titanium Dome tweeter was replaced by the 1st generation CS Soft dome while the model otherwise remained by far the same. Until now. With the gigantic progress of the Alexia V and Sasha V in terms of component quality and precision, it is now the Mezzo’s turn to benefit from this as well. Two 8″ woofers, the same fantastic 7″ QuadraMag midrange and Convergent Synergy Carbon Dome tweeter, the Mezzo CSC is also actually best described as a Sasha V in horizontal build form. And that’s how it sounds, too. In terms of resolution, coherence and dynamic expression, the Mezzo CSC knows no equal. Unless you are willing to place a single Alexia V between the front speakers.
The Mezzo CSC Center Speaker has a suggested retail price of € 27,990 including VAT in Wilson Audio Standard Gloss

Alida CSC
Like the Mezzo, the Alida CSC finds its origins in an existing Wilson Audio model. The original Alida was introduced in mid-2013 as perhaps the most prestigious on-wall speaker. From cabinet material to special mounting bracket with internal decoupling, everything that makes Wilson Audio Wilson Audio was found in this Alida. The Alida CSC brings that class up to date with the same CSC tweeter taken directly from the Sasha V, Alexia V and Mezzo CSC.
An optimized cabinet with integrated V material brings that typical sound fidelity and absence of coloration that you really don’t think possible with an on-wall speaker. Then there is the further refined mounting bracket with greater adjustability and further improved decoupling make the Alida CSC actually much more than the very best surround speaker – even as an alternative to a compact bookshelf speaker, the Alida CSC is really just an ultra high end solution.
The Alida CSC has a suggested retail price of €22,990 including VAT per pair in Wilson Audio Standard Gloss

Submerge
The Submerge completes the range of four new, specialty Wilson Audio speakers with a mighty subwoofer. It reshapes full range extension that rolls out to the very lowest frequency regions. Wilson Audio has a tremendous history of subwoofers that really shouldn’t be called subwoofers. You can best describe a Wilson Audio subwoofer as a Wilson Audio speaker without the midrange and tweeter. No inflated bass modules but extremely solid cabinet construction equipped with a woofer with extremely low resonance frequency and the ability to create large diaphragm excursions with minimal distortion. They give Wilson Audio subwoofers an elasticity and extension that fits seamlessly with Wilson Audio’s full range models, which, thanks in part to the X material cabinet anyway, excel in sublime definition in bass reproduction.
The Submerge is a new chapter in Wilson Audio’s approach to subsonic playback. With integrated 1600-watt power amplifier, a host of tuning options and impressive 12″ woofer coupled with generous, ported cabinet, the Submerge clearly digs deeper into the basement than the smaller Loke. It brings the lowest notes in electronic music, the breath in great acoustic work, the palpable ambience of the room and the boundless energy of movie effects into a sensational, tangible experience with a precision and speed as only a Wilson Audio can.
The Submerge has a suggested retail price of €37,490 including VAT in Wilson Audio Standard Gloss
