The Cyrus 40 Series represents a new beginning for the British manufacturer, and you can built a nice hi-fi setup with it!
The stars haven’t always aligned well for the British manufacturer Cyrus. In fact, the brand “solo” rose from the ashes of Mission Cyrus’ bankruptcy. The partnership with Mission turned out far from successful. Regardless, the brand wants to make its mark again and has launched the Cyrus 40 Series. The lineup includes an integrated amplifier (2 x 100 Watts at 6 Ohms, shown above), an integrated CD player, a network streamer, and a power supply. A phono preamplifier is planned for next year. Internally, the manufacturer has embraced modern elements. Their new DAC design features the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M chipset, utilizing HyperStream IV Dual DAC technology.
BluOS
Notably, the 40 ST streamer runs on BluOS and supports a maximum PCM quality of 24-bit / 192 kHz. Roon, AirPlay 2, and even MQA are also included. The prices for the individual components of the Cyrus 40 Series are:
