At High End 2024, Chord Electronics introduced ‘Suzi’—a modular 30W-per-channel power amplifier featuring ULTIMA technology. And now it’s here!
Dutch distributor Mafico Pro has announced that the Chord Suzi, unveiled at High End Munich, is now available. It’s a modular power amplifier delivering 30 watts per channel, built with the company’s renowned ULTIMA technology. “The Suzi system was developed to offer consumers versatile usage options, especially for existing Hugo2 / Hugo2 + 2Go users, providing them with an ULTIMA-powered amplifier in a compact enclosure similar to the TT-series BerTTi,” reads the announcement.

Suzi can be paired with the new Chord Suzi Pre preamplifier, or with the Hugo2 / Hugo2 + 2Go. When used with the Multiplexer connected to Hugo2 + Suzi, it adds USB-B and USB-C inputs to the Hugo2. See the image above (in the original announcement) for various pairing setups.
Suzi offers five different configurations:
- As a standalone power amplifier (Suzi)
- As a standalone preamplifier (Suzi Pre)
- As an analog pre/power amplifier combo (Suzi Pre + Suzi)

- As an amplifier/DAC/multiplexer (Suzi + Hugo2 + Multiplexer)
