Seventy-five years is a remarkable milestone in a company’s history, and Cabasse is celebrating it in style with the launch of the new La Sphere Evo.
The French audio brand Cabasse is marking its 75th anniversary with the introduction of the Cabasse La Sphere Evo. The speaker system has a distinctly futuristic design, including the striking stand that supports its spherical body. At the heart of the system is Cabasse’s proprietary tri-coaxial (TCA) driver setup: a centrally placed tweeter, flanked by two midrange drivers and a bass driver arranged around it.
One particularly notable (and potentially very practical) feature is that these are fully active, wireless speakers. That means that, in many cases, there’s no need to invest in additional hi-fi components. After all, most music is streamed wirelessly these days, often from a smartphone.
Still, fans of more traditional wired setups will also find plenty of options. For example, the La Sphere Evo includes HDMI eARC, making it a powerful companion to your television. Each speaker is equipped with four amplifiers, delivering a total power output of—yes—10,200 watts.
As you might expect, the Cabasse La Sphere Evo is far from a budget buy. The set carries a price tag of $135,000. At the time of writing, there’s no detailed information available yet on the manufacturer’s website, but a reveal video has already been published on YouTube (see screenshot above).
