No one ever said subwoofers always had to be black. And so, Velodyne is now releasing several models in white.
While white can sometimes be more noticeable depending on the surrounding colours, it looks significantly less “heavy” than black. In light-coloured interiors, this effect is even more pronounced. With subwoofers in particular, that difference stands out. Velodyne now offers white versions of its Deep Blue, Impact X, VI-Q, and Microvee X subwoofers. The advantage is that you don’t need to hide the sub anymore, as it blends almost seamlessly into lighter interiors.
Naturally, the technical specifications of the white versions are identical to the black ones. Prices for the new colour options range — depending on type and size — between €899 and €2,499.
