At the recent CES, Edifier unveiled its new M90 active speaker, designed for use in a wide range of scenarios.
If you’re looking for an affordable speaker for, for example, a desktop setup or use with a TV, the new Edifier M90 could be a good fit. It’s not high-end, of course, but knowing the brand, it certainly qualifies as hi-fi. The M90 is an active speaker that can be easily connected to a laptop, gaming console, streamer, and more. The system is designed as a two-way setup, consisting of a 4-inch long-throw mid/bass driver and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter. Maximum RMS output power is 100 watts, with a bi-amped design. If desired, each driver can be adjusted individually.
Depending on the selected source, the M90 supports resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. In terms of inputs, you can choose from an analog line input, optical, USB-C, and HDMI eARC. Wireless connectivity is also supported via Bluetooth 6, including LDAC and multipoint support.
The Edifier M90 is priced at $369 and is available in black or white.
