With the Pro-Ject Pre Box S3, you get a versatile preamplifier with built-in DAC, which also caters to vinyl enthusiasts.
The Pro-Ject Pre Box S3 offers everything you would expect from a modern preamplifier. For headphone users, it can even function as an all-in-one solution thanks to its integrated headphone amplifier. This stage delivers up to 2 x 70 watts into 32 ohms, with what the manufacturer describes as exceptionally low distortion.
A DAC is also on board, built around a Cirrus Logic CS4344 chip. The maximum supported PCM resolution is 24-bit / 192 kHz. The unit features a dual-mono design, intended to ensure optimal channel separation.
In addition to two line inputs and an MM phono input, the Pre Box S3 also includes HDMI eARC. Digital connectivity is further expanded with USB-C, RCA coaxial and two Toslink inputs.
For wireless convenience, Bluetooth is included as well, with support for aptX and aptX HD codecs.
The Pre Box S3 is available in black or silver at a retail price of €599.
