Gaming and retro culture go hand in hand these days, and German manufacturer Clearaudio is tapping into that trend with its new Compass GT gaming turntable.
Interest in retro gaming remains strong, and with it comes a broader fascination with all things nostalgic. Clearaudio has clearly taken notice, resulting in the eye-catching new Compass GT. The turntable certainly lives up to its gaming-inspired name, featuring colourful illumination beneath the platter and a vibrant pixel-art-inspired finish on the plinth.
The Compass GT is not yet available commercially, but a prototype was showcased at the recently concluded High End Vienna exhibition. In addition, the manufacturer shared images of the turntable on its Facebook page, one of which is shown above. The Clearaudio Compass GT appears to be a natural fit for the continuing vinyl revival. After all, an increasing amount of video game music is being released on vinyl, creating a perfect crossover for enthusiasts of both hobbies.
