Owners of selected NAD Electronics streaming amplifiers can now add Dirac Live Bass Control to their systems.
The feature is available as an optional upgrade for the NAD M33, M33 v2, M10, M10 v2, M10 v3 and C 658. Dirac Live Bass Control goes a step beyond conventional room correction by aligning loudspeakers in the time domain. It also optimises low-frequency phase response, allowing speakers and subwoofers to operate as a single, integrated system.
According to the manufacturer, Dirac Live Bass Control helps extract the maximum performance from a carefully assembled speaker setup. The goal is to deliver consistent sound quality throughout the listening room rather than concentrating optimal performance in a single “sweet spot.”
As you might expect, this additional functionality does not come free of charge. The Dirac Live Bass Control upgrade is priced at $299.
