To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Ruark Audio has introduced a highly exclusive R410 Anniversary Edition, limited to just 500 units worldwide.
The Anniversary Edition of the Ruark R410 immediately stands out thanks to its beautiful light oak cabinet, which is the most noticeable visual difference compared to the ‘standard‘ R410. Aside from its distinctive finish, the concept remains unchanged: a stylish tabletop music system that combines retro-inspired design with thoroughly modern technology.
The integrated upright display is paired with Ruark’s signature rotary controller, providing intuitive operation while maintaining the product’s classic appearance.
Although reminiscent of the tabletop radios of the 1960s and 1970s, the R410 Anniversary Edition is far more than a traditional radio. It supports popular streaming platforms including TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect, while Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast are also onboard. Users can additionally control the system via a dedicated smartphone app.
The Anniversary Edition features newly developed NS+ long-throw mid-bass drivers, combined with the same 20 mm tweeters found in Ruark’s MR1 Mk3 loudspeakers. Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by a Burr-Brown DAC.
For those who still enjoy physical media, Ruark will also offer the matching R-CD100 CD player in the same design. Naturally, the system also includes DAB+ and FM radio reception.
The Ruark R410 Anniversary Edition is priced at €1,599, making it relatively affordable considering its exclusivity. However, with only 500 examples being produced worldwide, availability is expected to be limited. Pricing for the matching R-CD100 CD player has yet to be announced.
