The Beatles’ Rubber Soul Remixed

The Beatles album Rubber Soul has received a 2026 upgrade, with a new mix – including Dolby Atmos – as well as previously unreleased tracks.

Back in 1965 – quite some time ago by now – The Beatles released their album Rubber Soul. It has now been newly mixed (although perhaps remastered would be a better description) by Giles Martin. In addition to the new stereo and Dolby Atmos versions, the new release also includes the original mono tracks. Furthermore, the 2026 set features previously unreleased session recordings and home demos.

Several versions of the new Rubber Soul release are available. These include single-CD and single-LP editions, double-disc versions on both LP and CD, and a five-LP Super Deluxe edition complete with an accompanying hardcover book.

In addition, there is a Blu-ray version featuring, among other things, the aforementioned Dolby Atmos tracks, as well as hi-res stereo and promotional films for Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out. UMG and Apple have also announced limited-edition orange vinyl versions and D2C-exclusive zoetrope variants.

The Special Edition Standard single-CD version costs £13.99, while the single-LP edition is £29.99. So at least those options are not particularly expensive!
