This coming Friday and Saturday (6 and 7 November), you can get acquainted with the new Cyrus 80 AMP during a special event at Lexicom Multimedia!
On Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, LINEAR HiFi and Lexicom Multimedia will jointly organise a special hi-fi event in Leidschendam, the Netherlands. The main attraction is the introduction of the brand-new Cyrus 80 AMP, which will be demonstrated alongside the Audiovector R5 Arreté loudspeakers. Meanwhile, a second, rather intriguing system will be set up in the smaller listening room: the Cyrus 40 series paired with Diptyque DP85 magnetostatic loudspeakers.
Discover the New Cyrus 80 AMP
Curious about what a modern all-in-one amplifier can offer? During this event, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the capabilities of the new Cyrus 80 AMP in combination with the Audiovector R5 Arreté loudspeakers.
‘The Cyrus 80 AMP has already made an impression beyond our listening room. The amplifier recently received a five-star rating from hifi.nl and was also thoroughly tested by our own hi-fi specialist, René van Es. You can read his findings in the review on the Lexicom Multimedia website. During the demonstrations, we’ll give you the opportunity to experience the qualities of this combination for yourself. We’ll play a varied selection of music that showcases the system’s capabilities. Naturally, we’ll also be happy to answer any questions you may have about the amplifier and the technology behind this latest addition to the Cyrus range,’ the announcement states.
The First Combination: Cyrus 80 AMP and Audiovector R5 Arreté
During the event, the Cyrus 80 AMP will be paired with the Audiovector R5 Arreté loudspeakers.
‘This combination brings together British amplifier technology and Danish loudspeaker engineering in a system that focuses on dynamics, detail and musicality. With an output of 2 x 150 watts, the Cyrus 80 AMP’s Class A/B amplifier provides a powerful foundation for these high-quality loudspeakers,’ the organisers explain.
The Cyrus 80 AMP is a complete all-in-one solution that combines amplification with the versatile BluOS streaming platform. This provides access to a wide range of music streaming services, while integration with Roon is also possible. In terms of connectivity, the 80 AMP is equally well equipped. HDMI eARC makes it easy to connect a television, while Bluetooth offers additional flexibility. Furthermore, the amplifier features a high-quality, adjustable MM/MC phono preamplifier for vinyl playback.
Designed and manufactured in Europe, the Cyrus 80 AMP combines, according to its manufacturer, ‘high-quality audio technology with the convenience of a modern, complete music solution’.
A Second Surprise: Cyrus 40 Series with Diptyque Magnetostatic Loudspeakers
The event will also feature a smaller listening room, where visitors will find a system consisting of the Cyrus 40 ST network player and Cyrus 40 AMP amplifier. These components will be connected to a pair of Diptyque DP85 magnetostatic loudspeakers.
‘This setup offers a very different listening experience from the combination with the Audiovector R5 Arreté. That’s precisely why it’s interesting to compare the two systems and discover which combination best suits your personal preferences.
