MCA power amplifiers

Anthem’s new MCA power amplifiers are available in 2-, 3- and 5-channel configurations and perfectly match the AVM 70 and AVM 90 A/V processors, both audibly and cosmetically. Manufactured in Canada, these Gen2 amplifiers offer greater transparency with dynamically complex material. Background noise is almost completely eliminated thanks to a 120dB signal-to-noise ratio, according to the manufacturer. Power starts at 225 watts at 8 ohms and goes up to 600 watts at 2 ohms with perfect stability while driving the most demanding speaker loads. Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) provides clip-on protection while maintaining long-term performance and reliability. High power output and low distortion ensure full immersion in a movie or music track,” Anthem writes. Additional features include

  • High current output for less distortion.
  • Cosmetic match for AVM 90 and AVM 70 A/V processors.
  • Advanced Load Monitoring system ensures reliable long-term performance.
  • 8 coupled bipolar output transistors per channel for less load on each individual transistor.
  • Manufactured in Canada.

Unlimited possibilities

Today’s premium home theaters need support for up to 15 speakers and 4 subwoofers to handle the latest object-oriented audio codecs from Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. Pairing an AVM 70 or AVM 90 A/V processor to a set of MCA amplifiers produces sound that can match the best commercial cinemas. The scalability of MCA means customers can only purchase the channels they need to reinforce their vision of home entertainment. AVM processors now manage configurations of up to 15.4 channels (was 11.2) with ARC Genesis Room Correction, ensuring the best possible sound on every seat. Modern aesthetics extend to every part of the MCA and AVM lines. All MCA end amplifiers are manufactured in Canada,” we read further in the press release.

Anthem Web User Interface

Anthem Web User Interface is now built into all MRX receivers and AVM processors. With a smartphone, tablet or laptop, owners have easy access to any function or setting and can make changes instantly. Turn the main or second zone on and off, adjust volume, change audio settings or adjust channels for a perfect surround sound experience. Web UI can also be used to calibrate speaker delays and levels and configure network settings/operating options. Source devices can be renamed, simplifying setup by eliminating unused inputs. Installers can import and export files to make remote management simple and easy.

AVM processor and MRX receiver allocation

AVM processor and MRX receiver channels can be assigned in many ways. Demanding bi-amp speakers by assigning unused channels to bass or midrange drivers. Additional channels amplify an additional audio zone in a multiroom setup. Configure any setting of height, width, or presence speakers in a Dolby Atmos or DTS: X system, then balance the sound with ARC Genesis. Pricing and configurations
