Nothing is certain yet, but rumors regarding a VR headset from Apple are getting stronger.
It seems ‘inevitable’ that Apple will release a VR headset. According to various ‘insiders’, this could even happen before the end of this year. In the meantime, Apple seems to have signed a contract with TSMC to manufacture OLED screens for the yet unannounced gadget. Apple will no doubt be interested in headsets for a variety of reasons. First, the company is one of the key players when it comes to augmented reality (AR), which every iPad and iPhone can handle for some time already. The currently-hyped metaverse simply requires a VR headset to really ‘get into’ it. In short: the momentum is definitely there, just wait and see if the crystal ball viewers are right. We guess so, but whether it will indeed be this year?
