With an upcoming update, the Sony PSP 5 will offer personalized spatial sound, enhancing your gaming experience.

While the Sony PSP 5 already supports spatial sound, it’s currently a one-size-fits-all experience. Given that the perception of surround sound through headphones can vary from person to person, fine-tuning on the user’s end is a sensible approach. Consequently, Sony’s gaming console will soon allow users to tailor sound to their individual hearing profiles. The process involves playing test sounds through headphones, after which you indicate on the screen where you perceive the sound to be originating from within a 3D bubble.

This system will work with various wired and wireless headsets, including Sony’s own models. It’s an extension of the recently added Dolby Atmos support on the Sony PSP 5, offering an even more immersive gaming experience.
