It is becoming something of a tradition, as Philips Ambilight TV has once again won two prestigious EISA Awards 2026. In fact, the latest wins mark a full decade of OLED awards.
‘Outstanding picture quality, immersive Ambilight technology and European designs from Amsterdam have earned the Philips OLED+951 and Philips OLED811 Ambilight TVs the highest honours from the EISA technology press jury,’ Philips Ambilight TV reports, naturally with a certain degree of pride. As a result, Philips has picked up awards in two important categories within the OLED segment.
The EISA jury, consisting of European technology experts, crowned the flagship 65OLED+951—pictured above—EISA Best Premium OLED TV 2026-2027. Meanwhile, the Best Buy OLED TV 2026-2027 EISA Award went to the new 2026 OLED8 Series, comprising both the 55OLED811 and 55OLED851 Philips Ambilight TVs. Consequently, Philips Ambilight TV has now enjoyed 10 consecutive years of EISA Award wins in the OLED TV category. According to the manufacturer, ‘the awards recognise the three pillars of Philips OLED Ambilight TV: outstanding picture quality, powered by the latest generation of P5 AI picture processing; the unique immersive viewing experience created by Ambilight, including the new AmbiScape feature; and distinctive European designs using premium materials, developed by the Amsterdam-based design team.’
Incidentally, EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) has been organising its awards for more than 40 years, selecting what it considers the very best products in TV, imaging and sound worldwide. Products are assessed by the EISA jury, a collaboration of leading industry experts and specialist technology journalists representing 52 of the most respected technology magazines from 27 countries.

The model combines the META 4.0 Tandem panel with the new 10th-generation P5 AI Dual Engine for class-leading brightness, colour reproduction and picture detail. The latest Dolby Vision 2 Max technology, including Authentic Motion, elevates movies, sports and gaming to reference quality. Gamers also benefit from 165Hz VRR, four HDMI 2.1 connections and a redesigned Game Bar interface. The ultra-slim chassis of the 65OLED+951, measuring just 40 mm deep, and four-sided Ambilight complete the premium package, bringing together class-leading performance and beautiful design.”
55OLED811/OLED851
When awarding the EISA Best Buy OLED TV 2026-2027 title to the 55OLED811/OLED851, the EISA jury said:
“Thanks to upgrades including a new OLED-EX panel, Philips’ 10th-generation P5 AI processor and the refined Titan OS platform, the 55OLED811 [OLED851] delivers a clear step forward in brightness, colour accuracy and everyday responsiveness.
A maximum HDR brightness of 2300 nits gives this TV’s images impressive impact, while the screen’s improved anti-reflection coating ensures bright, high-contrast images even in well-lit environments. In addition, the three-sided Ambilight system, now expanded with AmbiScape, turns the entire room into part of the viewing experience.
Titan OS provides a modern European interface with fast navigation and extensive app support, while the TV’s gaming capabilities, including refresh rates of up to 165Hz for smooth motion, are equally impressive. The Philips 55OLED811 easily earns its Best Buy status.”
The 55-inch OLED811 and OLED851 have officially been available in the Netherlands and Belgium since August. In addition to the 55-inch models, the 42, 48 and 65-inch versions of the OLED8 Series are already in stores. The XL 77-inch variant will follow in mid-September. Meanwhile, the 65-inch OLED+951 has also been launched and is available now, while the 77-inch version is due to follow in the coming weeks.
‘Incredibly Proud’
Anette van Dijk, Head of Marketing Philips TV, commented on the latest success:
“Winning the EISA Best Buy OLED TV award for the tenth consecutive year, combined with our eighth win in the top OLED TV category, is something we are incredibly proud of. What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that it precisely reflects what we want Philips Ambilight TV to stand for: outstanding picture quality, distinctive European design and an immersive viewing experience that only Ambilight can create. In one of the most competitive TV categories in the world, this continued recognition from EISA is a powerful endorsement of our approach.”
