TRPTK kicks off the new season with the release of the album Interference, by harpist Doriene Marselje.
The Dutch-based record label TRPTK is known for its unique productions, and the new album Interference by Doriene Marselje is no exception. According to the label, Doriene Marselje explores the boundaries of the harp in both acoustic and sonic environments, featuring commissioned works by Valerio Sannicandro and Tony Roe, along with pieces by renowned composers Kaija Saariaho and Toshio Hosokawa. This TRPTK X album offers a broad spectrum of new sounds and timbres, blending electronics and vocals with the harp—a fusion of tradition and experimentation.
“Pushing the boundaries of the harp and challenging our perceptions of it” – quote from the CD booklet.
