The signs are increasingly pointing to a Sonos headphone being on the way. Summarizing the rumors, for starters it would be at least a Bluetooth-capable one. This is partly evidenced by the recent purchase of T2 Software, a startup that specializes in low power Bluetooth via codecs with high sound quality. It could also just be that the intended Sonos headphones can handle Wi-Fi in addition to Bluetooth. Not very surprising, as that would allow for seamless integration with their existing speaker ecosystem. To add to the rumor, Sonos appears to be looking for an advertising agency capable of helping promote “one of the most ambitious projects in the manufacturer‘s history.
