Grado Statement GS3000x headphones

The new Grado Statement GS3000x are headphones with the currently largest driver in the manufacturer’s range.

Naturally, the Grado Statement GS3000x (pictured above) is again equipped with the “trademark” of the manufacturer. And with this – of course – we mean the wooden finish, using tropical hardwood with the melodious name cocobolo. Internally you will find a 52mm driver, and stronger magnets compared to its predecessor. Also renewed is the voice coil, which has been given a larger mass.

If you would rather go for a little lower price, then there is the also new Grado Statement GS1000x. A fresh addition to the long running 1000 series. Grado has opted for a different type of hardwood in the form of ipé, which, according to Grado, should produce a fine sound. Both headphones are, as always, manufactured by hand in New York’s Brooklyn. The Statement GS3000x costs $1995, or opt for a version with balanced XLR jacks at $2165. The Grado GS1000x changes hands for $1195 in the standard version. However, nothing prevents you from opting for a version with balanced XLR connections here too at $1495.
