Hifiman Sundara Silver

The all-new Hifiman Sundara Silver is actually an update on its predecessor that goes through life without the addition of ‘Silver’.

The original Hifiman Sundara appeared on the market back in already 2018, we posted a review about it earlier. The manufacturer thought it was time for an update to these open headphones though, and so the Sundara Silver appeared. One of the things that were addressed is the somewhat excessive too overwhelming treble the original was known for. Furthermore, innovations were made in the damping of the diaphragm. All together, this should lead to a better tonal balance, while the open character of the sound has been preserved, according to Hifiman. With the new model, the manufacturer also paid attention to improving the “mechanical” side of the headphones. For example, changes have been made to the headband and ear foam rings that should guarantee even greater wearing comfort. Included with the Sundara Silver are a suitable carrying case, a three-meter-long connecting cable and a 3.5-6.35mm adapter. The frequency range lies between 6 Hz and 75 kHz; the price for all this beauty is €399
