The Final D7000 is an open headphone equipped with planar drivers armed with a special damping technology called AFDS.
A planar driver like the one used in the new Final D7000 over-ear headphones weighs very little, significantly improving responsiveness, particularly in the high frequency range, compared to more conventional solutions. And that combined with the deep bass response dynamic drivers can deliver. According to the manufacturer, the Air Filter Damping System (AFDS) should ensure that the diaphragm never comes into contact with the magnets. Not even when driving hard with lots of bass.
Easy to repair
The case of the Final D7000 consists of aluminum-magnesium alloy. Almost all parts are screwable, which makes any repair very simple. That’s an absolute plus in a time when everything is glued, taped and meant to be disposable!
