To mark this occasion, Luxman presents the P-100C headphone amplifier: a handcrafted piece of audio equipment built entirely in Japan, merging artisanal craftsmanship with the most advanced electronics.
Under the hood, you’ll find the latest iteration of Luxman’s proprietary amplifier technology, LIFES (Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System), which is derived from the earlier ODNF (Only Distortion Negative Feedback). The newest design incorporates newly developed FETs and high-end components, and reportedly reduces distortion by half compared to ODNF. According to Luxman, this leads to a sound signature that offers greater transparency, more calm, and finer dynamic sensitivity.
200-Step Volume Control
The volume control of the Luxman P-100C is also newly developed and dubbed LECUA-EX. It offers precise 200-step adjustment, with each step corresponding to a 0.5 dB increment. A three-position sensitivity selector and a left-right balance control allow further fine-tuning of the sound to match your headphones and hearing preferences. A clear LED display shows the current volume level.
The fully symmetrical LIFE amplifier supports multiple configurations, including BTL, parallel, or a combination thereof. Power is delivered via a dual-mono power supply setup.
