Compact in size yet equipped with a substantial rechargeable battery for extended playback, that is the new Marshall Stockwell III.
For several years now, Marshall Amplification has enjoyed considerable success with its range of portable Bluetooth speakers. The line-up includes models large and small, all sharing the distinctive styling that reflects the brand’s heritage. Those roots lie firmly on the concert stage, where Marshall became famous through its guitar amplifiers and other professional audio equipment.
Marshall products have been an almost unavoidable sight in iconic concert photographs from the 1960s, 1970s and beyond. Today, music lovers can bring a small piece of that legacy into their homes at relatively accessible prices. The unmistakable design remains intact, radiating the rock-and-roll spirit that has long defined the brand. The new Stockwell III is no exception.
According to Marshall, the portable Bluetooth speaker delivers room-filling sound thanks to the company’s proprietary True Stereophonic 360-degree audio technology.
Up to 40 Hours of Playback
The Stockwell III also features Dynamic Loudness, which automatically balances low, mid and high frequencies for a more consistent listening experience.
One of the most important features of any portable speaker—alongside sound quality—is battery life. In this respect, the Stockwell III appears well equipped. A fully charged battery is rated for up to 40 hours of playback, allowing users to enjoy music for extended periods away from a power outlet.
The speaker can also function as a power bank, enabling users to recharge devices such as smartphones while on the move. A leather carrying strap completes the design of what essentially looks like a miniature guitar amplifier and makes the speaker easy to transport.
The Marshall Stockwell III will be available from 25 August this year at a retail price of $250. Buyers can choose between black and white finishes.
