Despite being packed with modern technology, the Roberts Revival Uno Solar radio has a delightfully classic appearance. That has long been the signature design style of the British brand. In addition to DAB, DAB+ and FM radio, it also supports Bluetooth streaming, allowing you to play music wirelessly from, for example, a smartphone. Prefer a wired connection? A 3.5 mm AUX input is available as well.
The most interesting feature of the Revival Uno Solar is undoubtedly its integrated solar panel, which covers the entire rear of the radio. During daylight hours it helps keep the built-in rechargeable battery topped up. According to Roberts, direct sunlight is not required—ordinary daylight is sufficient. For faster and more reliable charging, a mains power adapter is also included, which will of course come in handy at night and during the winter months.
A fully charged battery provides up to 20 hours of playback, making it more than capable of lasting through the day. The Roberts Revival Uno Solar is priced at £199.99 and is available in either the striking Navy Blue finish or the more understated, retro-inspired Duck Egg colour.
