The new Beats 360 over-ear headphones have been launched and, if you fancy something a little more colourful, are available in several cheerful shades.
Equipped with what Beats itself calls its ‘most powerful ANC’, the new 360 headphones stand out primarily because of their colours. Unless, of course, you opt for the standard black version. Under the hood, three-layer diaphragms are used in a set of drivers developed exclusively for these headphones. As the name perhaps already suggests, surround sound with Dolby Atmos is one of the main features of these over-ears. In addition, there is an adaptive equaliser, while nine microphones are on standby, primarily for ANC. Three of these are used for hands-free calls – two shared with the ANC system and one dedicated microphone. Meanwhile, fans of smart assistants will be pleased to know that the 360 integrates with Siri.

Battery life with ANC and spatial audio enabled is up to 32 hours on a full charge. Five minutes of charging already provides another hour of playback. Also useful for everyday life, the 360 is IPX4-rated for resistance to sweat and moisture, so you can even venture outside wearing them during a good old Dutch rain shower.
There are four colours to choose from: in addition to standard black, there are Cloud, Pink and Sky. Replacement ear cushions are also available, partly in even more colours: Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volts. Oh yes, time to mix and match!
The Beats 360 costs $349.99, while sets of replacement ear cushions are priced at $49.99 each. Incidentally, when we visited the product page, those cushions had been reduced to $9.99 per set, which makes it a rather attractive price for ordering a spare pair at the same time.
