We tested the Merak with the Weiss Helios DAC/streamer (optical input) and the EarMan stack (power supply, DAC, preamp). We also used various headphones and in-ear monitors across a wide range of price points.
We also took the Fosi Merak to a friend’s house for a listen. There, we connected the CD player to his system in the study: a JVC EX-P1 all-in-one unit with a CD player, amplifier and speakers.
