The Gauder Akustik Arcona 100 is a loudspeaker for those who love powerful sound. A great sound with lots of detail. We can certainly appreciate the ceramic tweeter. The high extension is remarkable. And the speed across the board is the same.
The buyer must take into account that the Arcona – in fact all Gauders do – like a large gulp of energy from the power-amps. Yes: the bridge can come out… that’s right. But yes… we still recommend a potent power amplifier. Just to be sure…

The Gauder Akustik Arcona 100 MK2 is a beautiful speaker if it is surrounded by the right equipment. With the Moon 700i V2 it really is a beautiful combination. Bold, fast, rich in detail and balanced. With the combination Pass Labs XP-12 and Bryston 4B SST3 it just doesn't play that well. The exact mismatch is hard to pin down, but our feeling is that the Bryston / Gauder combination isn't that great. But honestly: we haven't had this issue before.For 8000 euros you get a particularly potent speaker in your listening room. A speaker with a high degree of precision, speed and depth (literally). Make sure you have a solid power amplifier. Or even better: power amplifiers.
