For Whom?

Contents

Perhaps you still have a lot of CDs. And maybe you are looking for a special way to play them. With a fine transport like the Jay’s Audio CDT-2, you will be happy to come out of the sofa and put on a new disc once in a while. The pleasure of sliding away the lid and attaching the puck is an absolute added value. In addition, you will be more involved with the music, the artist and the album, you will automatically browse the booklet again and you will more often play a full album.

The Dac-2 signature is a logical partner for this transport and holds its own in this price range. We have compared it to the Metrum Onyx, Weiss Dac-2 and Brooklyn Bridge Dac and the Jay’s Audio performs at least as well, has more connections and is a lot nicer to look at.

The AKM signature is friendly but insightful and will be appreciated by many. The different connections are of the highest level and guarantee the best possible sound. You can choose between NOS or Oversampling and all types of high-res are supported. Both devices also have their beautiful looks that ensure a high ‘pride of ownership’ feeling

Conclusion

Playing a nice CD becomes an immersive experience with the Jay's Audio CDT-2. This CD transport is beautifully made and offers all possible outputs to connect it to a top d/a converter. If you want to play at a high level you can buy the DAC-2 signature in all confidence. Through the I2s connection you get an excellent playback that will be hard to beat. The smooth operation and competitive price are the icing on the cake. Time to get those discs out of the closet!
