Review Kiwi Ears Airoso in-ear monitors

The Setup

We listened to the Airoso’s as they are likely to be used most: via a USB DAC connected to a smartphone or laptop. We played music via Tidal, Qobuz, Aurdirvāna and the built-in media player when listening to local music files on the phone.

USB DACs:

Oppo HA-2 headphone amplifier/DAC. Unfortunately no longer available. A very nice-sounding device that also allows you to charge your phone and, if you have an Oppo, even in a kind of fast-charge mode that fully charges your mobile in 15 minutes (but empties your DAC).

EarMen Colibri. Compact DAC/headphone amplifier with two USB-C connections: one for data/music and one for power. Very handy for desktop use.
