For Whom?

Contents

For whom is a Sonnet Morpheus suitable now? Simple: this is for fans who just want to listen to the recording. It is a product that leaves the interpretation to the artist. Or mastering engineer. We feel it doesn’t add anything. And it doesn’t leave out much (It’s impossible to leave out nothing… according to physics…there is always loss). Our conclusion: it’s a pearl of a dac/pre-amp. And that for a favourable price tag: 3500 euros. (Remember, you don’t need a preamplifier anymore!) No doubt Alpha Approved.

Conclusion

The Sonnet Morpheus is without doubt the next step in the product history of Cees Ruijtenberg. The Morpheus has an even higher resolution than the Adagio and Pavane. Not to mention the Jade.

For 3500 euros you can get a magisterially good device. With sufficient connections for most users. We would like it if usb and I2S can be used at the same time. But okay. It is what it is. It's not a problem for everyone.

In the end this is another pearl. Alpha Approved and 5 stars.
