We don’t need to write an extensive introduction to TOZO anymore. The brand makes excellent wireless headphones in many shapes and sizes, and at a very competitive price. This time, we’re reviewing the T20, TOZO’s version of the well-known Apple AirPods.
As we have come to expect from TOZO, the T20 true wireless earsticks come in a neat white box, complete with different sizes of ear tips and a USB-C charging cable. The box, which also serves as a charging centre, has a display that shows the charging capacity in percent and allows us to see how full the battery is on the left and right sides.
The TOZO T20
TOZO has a large collection of wireless in-ear headphones. The T20s are in-ear headphones with a “stick”, and the brand has three other types: the T6 (€34), the NC2 (€59) and the Crystal Pods (€30).
The T20 has a 10mm dynamic driver and a Bluetooth 5.3 chipset. We can’t find any more information about the electronics, other than that all audio is encoded to AAC format. The T20 does not offer active noise cancellation for audio, but it does offer a form of noise cancellation for speech/phone calls. The battery life is a generous 35 hours, which is a lot compared to other brands.
In use
The cradle in which the earbuds are stored and charged is compact, lightweight and well designed. There is a display on the front that shows the remaining battery life. The cradle is charged with a supplied USB-C cable; wireless charging is also possible. In practice, it’s all very easy and intuitive.
It seems simple, but we have also had cradles that we invariably opened on the wrong side, that were illogically put together so that we always chose the wrong side to store the earbuds, or that required both hands to operate. Yes, these are first world problems, but anyone who has struggled with ill-fitting ear tips and cradles that resist being opened knows what we mean.
Long story short: the T20s are exemplary in terms of ease of use and fit.
