For some of the paying Spotify users, this may be a relief: they will soon have separate buttons for shuffle and play.
Currently (at least at the time of writing this post) Spotify has a combined Play/Shuffle button. A good portion of users don’t find that convenient or confusing. And the music service has listened to their complaints, so soon separate buttons will be arranged for paying users. For non-paying users this makes no sense, as they can only listen to albums in shuffle mode anyway. As a side note, Spotify seems to have put the hi-fi streams (lossless) it once announced with much fanfare in the freezer. Apparently, the average user of the service is not really interested in this feature.
