Volumio presents Volumio AI, with ChatGPT-based Supersearch feature for (artificial) thoughtful searching.
The new Supersearch feature based on ChatGPT will undoubtedly please many fans of Volumio. Volumio is a music player that can be installed on numerous platforms – including, for example, the Raspberry Pi, a PC or one of the companies homegrown streamers like the Rivo or Integro. Once the project began as free, but since last year, “premium” features charge money on a subscription basis. This is where the more special perks come in, such as Supersearch. By the way, we are talking about an annual subscription at €59.99 or a monthly subscription at €6.49 per month, which is manageable.
Web interface or app
The Volumio Supersearch functionality is integrated into the host, or system on which you have installed the software. Through a web interface or, if desired, a mobile app, you access the host running Volumio. The Web interface in particular is practical because it makes the player approachable from any system equipped with a browser. And that can include something like your smart TV. Supersearch should make discovering new music easier. It takes care of smart searching both your locally stored music collection and tracks from music streamers like Spotify, Qobuz and Tidal searched.
